So I thought I'd make use of this at long last. I'm in the middle of a few things right now...I'm gonna ramble about them so if you're interested, read on. First, out of a complete and utter lack of things to do in SL besides shop, a few of us have gotten together to create a roller derby league. Roller derby isn't a new idea to SL (so I hear) but hopefully the people who are interested and working on *this* league can make it work. We bought some land, Laura Fassnacht built an amazing rink, Gutterblood Spoonhammer made us some custom quad skates, and Silje Russel offered her scripting skills to animate the skates. Menno Ophelia and I have conquered the helmet and hopefully we'll produce the pads soon. It's really coming together which is exciting. We're encountering some issues with actual game play though...I ran across a hockey league the other day during some random searches. Apparently their games are scripted, but I've yet to make it to a practice or a game to see how it works. I'll post more info on teams and how to join at a later date. For now, I'll leave you with some pictures.
